Serhat İsmet Sargın
Hello 🙂 I am Serhat. I graduated from Istanbul Bilgi University, Electrical and Electronics Engineering department in 2022. I got a chance to work with Asst. Prof. İpek Şen at my last year of university. Thanks to her, I have become a part of the Biomedical Instrumentation and Signal Interpretation Laboratory. This way, I enhance my knowledge on research interests: signal processing and machine learning algorithm. I got the “Best Senior Design Project Awards”. After my graduation, I decided to continue my educational life with doing my master’s at Istanbul Bilgi University. I am still a research student at the Biomedical Instrumentation and Signal Interpretation Laboratory; and at the same time, I am an Teacher Asistant at Istanbul Bilgi University, Electrical and Electronics Engineering departmen.
Amrou Wali
My name is Amrou Wali. I studied in Istanbul Bilgi University as an International Student. I graduated from the Electrical and Electronics Department with an Honor’s Degree in 2022. I have always been fascinated by Electrical and Electronic Components. I would break toys as a child to look at the PCB inside the toy and especially remote-controlled cars. I loved working under Dr. Şen’s supervision for our Senior Design Project which was “Exploring the Effect of Cigarette Smoking on Pulmonary Acoustic Sounds”. I got a chance to be a member at BISI during the last year of my university life, but 1 year wasn’t enough for me that’s why I am still an active member at the Biomedical Instrumentation & Signal Interpretation Lab (BISI) as a research student. Due to my lab and educational experiences, signal processing is my biggest interests. I am now pursuing my education in obtaining a master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Salma Hassan
My name is Salma. I graduated from the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, with an honor degree, from Istanbul Bilgi University in 2022. I’ve been dedicated to my studies from the very first day because it was always a challenge to be one of the few girls in the department. Thanks to Asst. Prof. İpek Şen, I was able to pursue my dreams of being an active member of the Biomedical Instrumentation and Signal Interpretation Laboratory (BISI Lab). These four years of studying showed me that I’m most interested in signal processing, sensors, and microfabrication. I am still an active research student at the BISI Lab, while pursuing my career being a high-school physics teacher in an International School.
Eren Avseren
Hello, my name is Eren. I graduated from Bilgi University Electrical-Electronics Department in 2022. My interests are mostly in coding and projects. I was one of the graduation project team that worked on Fire Detection Drone. Our project was deemed worthy of the ‘Best Senior Design Project’ award at the school and was featured in our school’s news website Bilgi Mag and more than 100 digital newspapers. We make applications for our project to the relevant places, and we aim to develop our project at the R&D stage and establish an entrepreneurship in the coming days.
Doğukan Engin
Hello, I’m Doğukan. I graduated from Istanbul Bilgi University Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department in 2022. My interests are image processing and embedded system programming. My partner, Erencan Avseren, and I chose a senior design topic that matched our interests: “Fire Detection Drone”. Thanks to our resolution and our advisor Asst. Prof. İpek Şen, we won one of the Best Graduation Project Awards. We want to put an end to forest fires that have been occurring frequently and recently. And in the meantime, we are looking for sponsors for this purpose.
Alperen Kavaklı
I am a graduate student from İstanbul Bilgi University at Electrical – Electronics Engineering department in 2022. My interests are network, cloud and Linux Operating Systems. In order to get experience in my fields of interest, I became a Product Support Engineer at Orion Innovation during the last semester of university. Thanks to my successful determination and love of work, I continued to work in the same company after graduation.
Arda Berat Köksal
My name is Arda Berat Köksal. I graduated from Bilgi University. My major was Electrical and Electronics Engineering. My thesis friend, Alperen Kavaklı, and I did the Senior Project together and It was about ‘’Clustering of Acoustic Features to Explore Cluster-Severity Correlation in Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases’’. Gladly, we had the opportunity to work with Asst. Prof. İpek Şen at Biomedical Instrumentation & Signal Interpretation Lab. Now, I work as a business analyst at Grifin, a software development firm. My interests are analysis, database and SQL.
Hasan Çakmak
I am a graduate student of Istanbul Bilgi University, Electrical and Electronics Engineering department. My interests are high and low voltage projects and lighting visual design. During my education, I established my own company which is named “Led Ve Neon”. My company makes neon led lighting that appeal to all segments in the developing lighting sector. Thanks to my company, I found my self. That’s why, I am working as an Purchase Specialist on Eksim Holding.
